Palash Dutta is a multi-faceted Indian actor known for his dynamic presence in the entertainment industry—as a model, actor, theatre performer, casting director, producer, and more recently, an anchor and moderator. Born on 12th September 1973 in Mumbai, Palash was creatively inclined since childhood, actively participating in dance, singing, and elocution competitions. This early spark ignited a lifelong passion for the performing arts.
I completed my MBA in advertising and marketing in the year 1995 and simultaneously was working as an advertising executive and quit my lucrative job to pursue modelling. After earning a lucrative role in the advertising sector, Palash chose to follow his true calling in the creative field. In 1995, he took a leap of faith and began his professional journey in modelling. Over the years, his career has flourished across various domains, including television, film, theatre, web series, casting, production, and public speaking.
Palash’s modelling career includes campaigns for iconic brands like Coca-Cola (with Aamir Khan), Pepsi (with Amitabh Bachchan), Britannia Biscuit, Airtel, and ENO, among others. His transition into a Model and Talent Coordinator saw him cast for over 500+ television commercials, Bollywood films, and web series, discovering and working with top-tier actors like Huma Qureshi, Renuka Shahane, Ananth Mahadevan, Eijaz Khan and Many More Seasoned Models and Established Actors.
He is also a seasoned theatre performer, actively associated with Bharat Dabholkar for over 25 years, traveling extensively for plays like Blame It on Yashraj.
As a film and web actor, he debuted in Yash Raaj Films Mohabbatein and has featured in films such as Dhoom, Grand Masti, and Good Boy Bad Boy. His web presence includes Web series debut as an actor was in the year 2019 titled Typewriter which was directed by Sujoy Ghosh and streaming on Netflix, Inspector Avinash (with Randeep Hooda), and an upcoming project titled Show Stopper.
His foray into film production has earned critical acclaim for short films like I Am Fine, Silent Ties, and Thanks Mom—all of which focus on socially relevant themes and have won multiple awards and international recognition.
Beyond the screen, Palash has taken the stage as a moderator, hosting sessions with noted personalities like Mukesh Chhabra, Sunny Singh, and participating in panels at prestigious platforms including the Jagran Film Festival and the Waves Summit 2025 with the Oscar Selection Committee.
